Zero Waste 2040 | Construction and Asset Management

October 7, 2016 @ 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Vancouver residents have told us they are supportive of a zero waste future. So, we have set
an ambitious goal to become a zero waste community by 2040 and we can’t get there alone.
With your ideas and participation, we are creating a Zero Waste Strategy to guide us there.
What is zero waste? As both a philosophy and a goal, zero waste aims to reduce and
ultimately eliminate the disposal of garbage to landfills and incinerators.
Please join us for a workshop focused on Vancouver’s building system and the materials we
waste. You will be joined by the City and fellow leaders to discuss how we can move to zero
waste and what that could mean for how we design, build, renovate, demolish and manage
buildings in Vancouver.
