When Trees Talk: A presentation + Animated Short Film

Celebrate Vancouver Park Board’s first annual Tree Week by joining us for a presentation about how trees communicate and share nutrients with each other by UBC researchers, Monika Gorzelak and Amanda Asay.

Following this presentation, Vancouver Film School classical animation instructor Keith Blackmore will present a screening of “The Man Who Planted Trees” (1987), an Oscar-winning animated short film that tells the story of one shepherd’s singlehanded effort to re-forest a desolate valley.
