What Works: Growing the Supply of Rental Housing in the Region

November 15, 2016 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am

Along with rising home ownership prices, continued low rental vacancy rates are of serious concern to residents, local governments and business in the Metro Vancouver region. Metro Vancouver’s Regional Affordable Housing Strategy promotes housing affordability and diversity, with a focus on rental housing supply and location. Local governments are key to implementing regional housing policy direction.

Join us to hear about Metro Vancouver’s role in facilitating a regional strategy, and how municipalities are working with the private sector to sustain and expand the supply of purpose built rental housing.

Elisa Campbell, Director, Regional Planning and Electoral Area Services Planning, Policy and Environment, Metro Vancouver
