Meet an Architect: Nick Milkovich

6:30 to 7:30 pm: Presentation by Nick Milkovich

Nick Milkovich joined the firm of Erickson/Massey in 1968 and worked on numerous projects for Arthur Erickson Architects, becoming an Associate in 1979 and Director of Design in 1987. Principally involved in the firm’s custom private residential work, Nick was also a member of the design team for the award-winning Museum of Anthropology at UBC and the Law Courts in downtown Vancouver. Nick started his own firm, Nick Milkovich Architects, in 1991. The firm has been recognized with AIBC Awards for Excellence for the Waterfall Building in Vancouver, the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA, and the Creekside Community Centre in the Vancouver 2010 Athlete’s Village, as well as, the Premier’s Award of Excellence in Architecture for the RCMP Heritage Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan. Nick will share his experience of working with Arthur Erickson and his familiarity with other midcentury modern architects, as well as his own architectural practices.
