How can you ensure that your design vision, involving custom elements, can be realized and translated faithfully into reality, employing intricate architectural woodwork? Martin Berryman, will provide practical guidance on the three grades of architectural woodwork as governed by the newest edition of AWMAC’s STANDARDS. He will explain how to draw on these to create concise, clear and high-quality woodwork drawings and specifications. Martin will discuss ways to simplify the verification process and avoid the most common mistakes made by designers. In addition, he will highlight the 10 most significant changes between the new manual, Edition 3.1, and the outgoing Edition 2.0.

PRESENTER: MARTIN BERRYMAN, WANES CUSTOM WOODWORKS INC.

Martin has been involved in architectural woodwork since 1987, has served on the AWMAC BC Board of Directors since 2010, and is now Past President of the BC Chapter and Chair of the Membership Compliance Committee. Co-owner of Wanes Custom Woodworks Inc. in Burnaby, BC, he works closely with designers who have become frustrated with being told their ideas don’t make sense, or that their project cannot be built as drawn. Martin has brought his passion for outstanding results and service to hundreds of projects throughout BC.
