Weaving Demonstration

(In)visible: The Spiritual World of Taiwan Through Contemporary Art explores how traditional and religious beliefs and modern values are integrated in this vibrant country. The exhibition features works by seven contemporary Taiwanese artists, who express and visualize religious beliefs, myths and the spiritual world with modern sensitivities.

Weaving Demonstration
Sunday, November 15, 1-3pm

Join us for a weaving demonstration by contemporary textile artist Yuma Taru. Taru, whose work is showcased in (In)visible: the Spiritual World of Taiwan through Contemporary Art, demonstrates her weaving practice by showcasing examples of both traditional Atayal textiles and contemporary woven works. The demonstration will be followed by a brief film of the artist’s work.

About Spotlight Taiwan
MOA launched its Spotlight Taiwan Project in 2014, a new initiative that focuses on Taiwan’s complex and multicultural identity. MOA is now poised to host a highly anticipated exhibition of contemporary art from Taiwan, (In)visible: The Spiritual World of Taiwan through Contemporary Art.
