Urbanarium City Tours – Vancouver is a Movie Set

August 11, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Urbanarium City Tours are back for the summer! Join us as we explore how Vancouver’s urban environment is shaped – come with us on one of our guided Urbanarium City Tours!

We are living in one of the world’s most fascinating urban environments as can be attested to by the many professionals and academics that come to study our special city recipe. During the tours we will show you the roots, the influences, the successes, and the failures that make up the complexity of what we see here today. Our tours are educational and social, with the ultimate intention of having our residents and visitors feel more engaged with Vancouver and more informed about the role we all play in the city.

Why does Vancouver never play itself? Or, rather, why does it so easily portray so many other cities? The 1.5- to 2-hour walking tour dives into how Vancouver manages to stand in for cities from all over the world – from historic quarters and gritty alleys to polished and shiny cities of the future. Join our volunteer tour host and check out our downtown from a new perspective.

The tour will start at 10am, on the Hornby Street side of the south Robson Square (by the Red Spring sculpture).

Prior to the start of the tour we will forward you some additional information to supplement your tour experience.

Waiver: Please note that by signing up for this tour you confirm that you have read and agree to the statements in this document:

Weather: The tours run rain or shine, however, if the weather conditions will preclude the ability to reasonably give a tour, we reserve the right to cancel & refund your tickets.
