The Public Art Collective

Emily Carr recently partnered with Ampri Group, the City of Richmond and Stantec to develop new ways of creating public spaces. This innovative partnership resulted in a new course within the Faculty of Culture + Community– The Social Practice of Public Art + Community Design is aimed at helping emerging artists transition from studio work to the field of public art, while providing them with the skills to interact with stakeholders from business, community and government.

With thanks to Kharé Communications, the resulting course and partnership has been fully documented, establishing a benchmark for public art/collaborative education that can be widely shared.
