Stop or Go? Addressing the Northshore’s Traffic Challenges

The Forum For Dialogue And Learning features an extraordinary panel of leading experts moderated by exerienced journalist – Kevin Evans, a former CBC journalist and communications expert specilaizing in facilitating community conversation. Kevin will be facilitating a topic that impacts virtually everyone on the North Shore – Traffic!
Our featured speakers are;
Gordon Price, recently retired as Director of SFU’s City Program, former City of Vancouver Councillor, and advocate of smart growth to speak on the linkage between land use and transportation.
Dr. Larry Frank, Professor in Sustainable Transport and the Director of the Health and Community Design Lab at the UBC to speak on the connection between transportation and population health.
Adrian Bell, Principle, Activate Planning, a UK chartered planner who has spent most of his career working on changing behaviour towards sustainable urban mobility. Adrian has held senior roles in local and regional government including Transport for London; as well as TransLink to develop strategies for demand management and new mobility services.
Raymond Fung, Director of Engineering & Transportation, West Vancouver to speak on the current status of highways, roads and engineering in West Vancouver.
Each of the panelists will present on the subject followed by facilitated audience participation through a Q&A discussion with the panelists.
