Stanley Park Totem Poles

Author and photographer Vickie Jensen has spent over 40 years photographing and documenting totem poles. She spent three months with Nisga’a artist Norman Tait documenting the process of bringing a log to life. And she has followed the controversial history of totem pole collecting and display in Stanley Park, including the most recent additions of Salish carving and a bronze statue.

Join Jensen as she traces the history and evolution of totem poles and Northwest Coast Aboriginal carving culture.
