Site Tour | Brentwood Town Centre

oin us on our first site tour of 2017! We will be touring the Brentwood Town Centre project on Tuesday April 25th, 2017.

Brentwood Town Centre is a 1950’s era suburban shopping centre situated at the corner of Lougheed and Willingdon; a high traffic neighbourhood of Burnaby. The existing mall includes 500,000 square feet of retail development, that was ready for upgrades and additions.

In addition to improvements to the existing retail space, upgrades will include 500,000 square feet of new exterior oriented lifestyle retail situated around a new open plaza, six levels of below-grade parking, and the development of approximately 1,500,000 square feet of high rise residential. This first phase sets the tone for this significant transit oriented development for the City of Burnaby.

As Architect of Record, Stantec worked closely with Design Architect, James K.M. Cheng (JKMC) in the design development phase, completing contract documents for the retail development and the first two 50 story residential towers. For Tower 3 Stantec designed a new tower and podium that is complimentary to the established architectural language but unique in its form. Stantec is also providing sustainability consulting services and mechanical engineering services on Tower 3.

Please note: Full personal protective equipment, including CSA approved site boots, hard hat, high visibility jacket and safety glasses are required in order to attend the tour. Anyone not in possession of these items will not be permitted to walk the site.
