Join us on Tuesday June 28th, 2016 for a tour of the unique Aperture Residences project.
Aperture Residences consists of six two-storey concrete buildings and four two-storey laneway villas with a value of $30 million and a total floor area of 101,000 ft². The landmark building, designed by architect Arno Matis, will be a gateway to the planned redeveloped Oakridge precinct. With its distinctive facade and state of the art systems, the development aims to raise the bar on luxury, style and sustainability in one of the city’s major hubs. The design pays homage to the area’s mid-century Modernist heritage while infusing it with a distinctly West Coast flavour.
The floor-to-ceiling windows are surrounded by frame– like apertures on a camera that allow each home to receive maximum sun while minimizing glare based on its position relative to the sun throughout the year. Aperture’s Asian-inspired landscaping and courtyards are rooted in nature and feature wood and concrete paving, bamboo, river rocks and running water.
Construction commenced in November 2014 and the project is set for completion in January 2017. The project is aiming for LEED Gold.
