PIBC 2016 World Town Planning Day – Celebrating the Profession

Join us on Saturday November 5th, 2016 – in recognition of World Town Planning Day – for this gala celebration and recognition of the planning profession in British Columbia and the Yukon.

Gala Reception & Dinner:
The program at this 9th annual reception and dinner event will include featured speakers, recognition of the admission of new Certified members (Registered Professional Planners), recognition of members who have held professional membership in the Institute for 25 or more years.

This year, we will also be celebrating the admission to Honourary membership of Mr. Norman Hotson, Architect, AIBC, AAA, OAA, FRAIC, RCA. Norman is a Principal at DIALOG, a leading architectural, planning and urban design firm, who will also be speaking during the evening.

One of our longest serving members, Mr. Jagdev Dillon FCIP (Ret.) will also be in attendance to be recognized for his admission to Life Membership, the most distinguished honour in the Institute. Jag has been a member of PIBC since 1967, and has regularly volunteered locally, nationally and internationally for various causes. He will be known to generations of planners whom he has mentored over the years.

We are also pleased to confirm entertainment for the evening will be provided by Juno-nominated bassist, composer, bandleader, and educator Jodi Proznick
