OPENING | District*

March 28, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

District new works that document West Vancouver will be exhibited. Through the new series Penner will look at formative aspects of being raised in West Vancouver and how this informs his practice.

In the early 1980s Victor John Penner worked as a graphic designer in Tokyo, Japan where he created applied designs for fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto and portrait commissions for Christian Dior. While printmaking, filmmaking, and design are all part of Penner’s oeuvre, since 1992 he has concentrated almost exclusively on the photographic image.

*Based on a true story.
