Livable Cities

April 24, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

“The Livable City” showcases interdisciplinary research and audio works from students at Simon Fraser University. The event will investigate intersecting disciplinary angles from architecture to gender, race and class issues, as well as exploring current city development and planning projects from a sound perspective. This one-day symposium is also focused on Vancouverites’ community engagement in current urban problems that involve symbolic and sensory materials of local urban environments.

Discussion Moderators: Dr. Milena Droumeva and Vincent Andrisani.

This event is supported in part by SFU’s School of Communication, the Faculty of Communication, Art and Design, and the Faculty of Environment.
