Lenses of Sustainability: Sense of Place

January 20, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Lenses of Sustainability is a campus-wide, student-led dialogue series designed to bring students, faculty, staff, and community together to re-imagine sustainability, gain wider perspectives on pressing issues, and discuss opportunities to make an impact towards a more sustainable future.

This dialogue series aims to foster a sense of community at UBC by bringing together a diverse audience and creating a shared understanding of pressing societal issues.

Our January dialogue will provide various perspectives on the concept of history, geography, and our built environment, including topics such as architecture, travel, and forestry.

By attending, you’ll enjoy:

  • Engaging story-telling presentations
  • Facilitated and interactive activities
  • Tea tasting
  • Complimentary dinner

The Sense of Place dialogue will include presentations by:

  • UBC Students
  • Siobhan McPhee, Professor in Geography
  • Ron Kellett, Director of the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture

This event is wheel-cheer accessible, the meal will have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options.
