The Vancouver Section of the IES (Illuminating Engineering Society) is pleased to offer an Intermediate Lighting Course at the BCEA, #224 – 3989 Henning Drive, Burnaby, BC, V5C 6N5. The Intermediate Lighting Course has been broken into three 5 week segments. This educational program is designed as the “next step” for those who have already completed Fundamentals of Lighting or those with a number of years of experience in lighting. This course is a good for those preparing for the NCQLP – LC exam. Topics covered are: Designing for Lighting Quality; Vision & Colour; Lighting Design Process; Daylighting; Lighting Controls; Lamps & Ballasts; Luminaires & Optics; Economics & Basic Electrical; Calculating Illuminance at a Point; Lumen Method; Applications for Exterior Lighting; Light & Health; Interior Lighting Applications and; ASHRAE Requirements for Lighting.
