How to Find More Joy
November 1, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
ABOUT THIS FIELDTRIP
Joy often feels out of reach as we feel overwhelmed and burnt out. In this FieldTrip, I’ll share why joy is important alongside practical strategies for embracing it.
Joy counteracts prevalence—the idea that a single negative event pollutes all aspects of life. It is not a way to ignore the negative, but rather, to acknowledge that bright spots exist alongside it.
WHAT TO EXPECT
✔️ We’ll begin with a breakout group where we share small joys.
✔️ We’ll explore some background on joy, examining some barriers we face to letting ourselves feel joy such as jealousy and fear. We’ll also link joy to resilience.
✔️ We’ll identify science-backed practical strategies for bringing more joy into our lives, such as gratitude and sharing our joy with others.
✔️ We’ll end with breakout groups wherein we practice strategies for increasing joy with one another.
This FieldTrip includes Breakout Rooms, which are always optional, but highly encouraged!
