Creative Mornings – How to Generate Ideas

Feel like you’re out of fresh ideas in your creative practice? Or on the contrary, are you so overwhelmed by the possibilities that you don’t know where to put your focus?

This workshop will discuss how to generate new ideas in your creative work through setting “enabling constraints.” Enabling constraints are conditions that allow us to play with a sense of focus and protection. They prevent creative overwhelm and help us establish intention in the discovery process.

The workshop will identify 3 ways to establish constraints in your creative work, using the framework of the 3Ms – the material, the multiple, and the mirror. We’ll consider the strategy that feels most exciting and natural for you as a creative through reflection exercises and meaningful examples.
