City Conversations | Millennialexit

August 10, 2016 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Young people have always been a critical demographic for robust, vibrant, and diverse cities. They fuel the local economy as they enter the workforce and play a key role in infusing the cultural and social fabric of the city with energy. As they grow older, they found innovative enterprises and their children revitalize our neighbourhoods and populate our schools. But as Vancouver grows increasingly un-affordable, many worry that millennials are set to leave the city. What can be done to increase livability and retain our youth and what will happen if we don’t take action?

These are the questions that’ll be addressed during a discussion with Vancity VP Community Investment William Azaroff, award-winning writer and columnist Jessica Barrett and Vancouver City Councillor Andrea Reimer.

Then it’s your turn to ask questions, make observations, offer opinions. Please feel free to bring your lunch.

Registration is not required but seating is limited. Please try to arrive early to ensure a seat.
