CCW Site Tour McCarthy Tetrault Offices

Join us on Tuesday March 22nd for a construction tour of the McCarthy Tetrault law firm.  In this new space, the firm is making a shift from a traditional, hierarchical design characteristic of a legal space to one that better reflects its values of Connectivity, Collaboration and Innovation.

The new space is situated on the top 3 floors of the recently constructed 745 Thurlow building.  Key features include an open concept work space with a combination of Unifor workstations and fully glazed and self-standing “pavilion” offices making up the bulk of the floor plate.  The perimeter with stunning 360 degree views of the city is saved for client meeting rooms and shared spaces including a knowledge hub, cafés, a staff lounge, benches and patios.  This arrangement provides a view for all employees and is designed to increase collaboration.

Other unique features include a green wall, an interior stair, a Sincro door that fully opens the main meeting room, seven different ceiling finishes, extensive AV and security integration and extensive use of prefabricated wall panels and millwork applied in a high level of finish application.

This space was designed jointly by BVN and Kasian Architecture and constructed by Turner Construction.  Electrical design was by AES, mechanical design by Integral and structural design by RJC.  This group will unveil the new space to McCarthy Tetrault in early April.  This is an amazing opportunity to see a very unique tenant improvement in the final stages of construction.
