Building Envelope Retrofit

DESCRIPTION
Over 75% of buildings in the cities of 2030 will be the buildings that already exist today. It is vital that we address these existing buildings if we want to have a hope of meeting our Paris climate commitments.
Legacy building envelopes and the associated heat loss are one of the biggest problems with these existing buildings from an energy-efficiency and GHG perspective
Come join Cascadia Metro Vancouver at the Vancouver office of Perkins+Will for presentations and a lively panel discussion on retrofitting the envelopes of existing buildings. We will unpack this complex issue from the perspectives of social policy, building technology, and architectural practice.
