BC Energy Step Code Presentation / Webinar
October 24, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm$20
Come join us for a Light House information session on the BC Energy Step Code.
This event organized by Light House and Focal Engineering Principal Susan Hayes, will be held at Light House’s office (Mezzanine) and broadcasted live at the same time. This information session will focus on energy modelling of Part 3 buildings under the new BC Energy Step Code, and how building design is involved in meeting the new requirements. The presentation will be targeted towards architects, engineers and developers who are familiar with these building types. After a brief introduction, we will cover the basic Step Code requirements, focusing on Part 3 buildings in Climate Zone 4. We will spend some time discussing how Energy Modelling simulations are used to demonstrate compliance with the Step Code. Two sample projects will be reviewed to demonstrate real world experiences targeting Levels 3 and 4, before we wrap up with a summary of key take-aways and additional resources. Time will be allocated for questions and discussion. Lunch will also be provided to those attending in person. This event has been approved for AIBC credits and gives you 1 Core Learning Unit.
