Barcelona’s Bold Move | Reclaiming Streets for People

February 1, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Barcelona is implementing a radical new plan to address the problems of excessive pollution, noise and a lack of quality public space by converting a major portion of its streets to citizen spaces.
Free Lecture
Barcelona, like many prominent cities, has ambitious plans to move away from car hegemony. The new mobility plan will reduce traffic by 21% and restrict vehicles to a number of big roads. This will drastically reduce pollution, and free up nearly 60% of streets currently used by cars by turning them into spaces for people.

Join Salvador Rueda as he describes this bold plan to create superilles (superblocks) to “fill the city with life”.
