12 New Affordable Housing Ideas

In April 2015, Michael Geller presented a lecture on 12 Affordable Housing Ideas for Vancouver. They included new building types including zero-lot line houses, fee-simple row houses and stacked townhouses; as well as alternative financing options such as shared equity and life-lease ownership.

Sadly, Vancouver’s housing affordability challenges continue and this year Michael is back to present 12 more ideas. They include how to make better use of existing social housing projects; back lane and rooftop apartments; and mixed residential-industrial development.
