Responsibilities
• Startup, Verify & Troubleshoot Lighting Controls Systems in commercial and industrial settings.
• Design & assist in designing customer projects.
• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments to identify and resolve system issues.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their lighting control needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions, implementing effective repairs and upgrades as required.
• Provide technical support to customers remotely or via on-site visits within BC.
• Educate customers on the functionality and operation of Acuity Controls Systems.
• Stay updated with the latest industry standards, including but not limited to the Canadian Electrical Code, ASHRAE, and NECB.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify additional opportunities.
• Prepare field service reports and submit for customer signoff.
• Assist in design & performance build opportunities.
• Follow outlined process.

Qualifications
• Experience & understanding of commercial electrical systems.
• Experience servicing electronic/electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge & Experience of Commercial, Architectural and Theatrical Lighting systems
considered an assist.
• Strengths in logic and number systems.
• Programing knowledge considered an assist.
• Intermediate computer knowledge (networking, software, hardware).
• Proficient in detailed reporting.
• Ability to work independently/in a team.
• Self-driven.
• Vehicle and Valid Driers License.
• Ability to travel abroad.
• Ability to possess security clearance for certain projects.
• Experience working with Acuity Controls Systems or similar lighting control solutions considered an
assist.
• Proficient in programming and troubleshooting 0-10V protocol, DALI, DMX, and other lighting control
protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team
members. Proficiency in English speaking, reading & writing.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Education/Experience:
• Certification or training in Acuity Controls Systems or related technologies.
• Previous experience in a field service or customer support role.
• Familiarity with other lighting control systems and technologies.

• The individual should ensure that luminaire drawings & controls comply with the specifications of the project
• Design lighting controls to meet ASHRAE guidelines
• Create accurate bill of materials
• Coordinate between the sales teams and the specifiers to provide professional-quality drawings
• Answering and troubleshooting technical questions both before a job is specified, and after it has been installed

Qualifications
• Should know about technical details of lighting and control systems
• Experience working with a variety of controls companies’ systems/platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be able to present and communicate effectively in group settings
• Works well in a team environment
• Sense of urgency and action-oriented (gets things done attitude!)
• Time management skills
• Strong design analytical abilities
• The individual should be able to read and interpret electrical drawings and comply with the
specifications of the project and sequence of operations
• Networking, Electronics and Lighting knowledge is an asset
• Should possess strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills which will help
the individual coordinate among different divisions

Education/Experience:
• Industry experience is essential
• Knowledge of BMS and DMX is essential
• Electronics or Electrical experience of minimum 2 years
• Associate Degree or higher in a related area
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

The following position will be based in the Victoria area, on Vancouver Island, BC.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for providing quotations to customers by coordinating bid strategy with Project Managers and Outside Sales Representatives
• Application of sales and technical knowledge for the preparation of quotation packages for moderate to complex projects
• Understand customer requirements and offers solutions that maximize profitability and add value
• Review customer specifications/drawings to ensure quote is technically compatible and competitive
• Coordinate with Distribution / Specification teams to determine and clarify project requirements to ensure quality output
• Coordinate with the electrical distributor, contractor, and manufacturer to provide a complete and competitive bid package
• Follow up on outstanding quotations to secure orders, improve quotation process and measure the effectiveness

Qualifications
• Must be detail-oriented
• Strong organizational and time management skills and must be able to effectively multi-task
• Highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment
• Possess good analytical skills and have demonstrated problem-solving capability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to provide clear and concise information
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Establish and maintain customer relationships, communicates with customers and co-workers to provide technical information
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Education/Experience:
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working within the lighting industry, electrical or related products and solutions in a related role that requires pricing research, strong detail orientation, and excellent customer services skills
• Basic knowledge of lighting installations, industry trends, construction and building terminology
• Experience using AutoCAD
• Experience using Photoshop is considered a plus
