Navigate Ambiguity Using Creative Skills

November 3, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

ABOUT THIS FIELDTRIP

In an era of ambiguous, messy problems—as well as extraordinary opportunities for positive change—it’s vital to have both an inquisitive mind and the ability to act with intention.

For many years at the Stanford d.school, we’ve been asked about our classes and how to use the methods we teach at Stanford.

This session will give you a behind-the-scenes look and a taste of our classroom experience along with a few exercises from our new book, Creative Acts for Curious People: How to Think, Create, and Lead in Unconventional Ways.

WHAT TO EXPECT

✔️ We’ll share insights and approaches for unlocking your creativity to help navigate ambiguity.

✔️ Then we’ll take a look at some true case studies from d.school students as real life examples of navigating ambiguity.

✔️ Next we’ll walk through some activities to help you see the world in a whole new way. One assignment will help you build relationships across borders, telling a story using only visual language.

✔️ Finally, we’ll all do “A Seeing Exercise” geared at helping you understand how much detail is part of your daily life.
