Folding Origami Fish

ABOUT THIS FIELDTRIP
I’m creating an art (window) installation with light and origami fish. it’s a way to stimulate empty store front windows and community outreach. I’m reaching out to people to help me fold origami fish as part of healing and activity, using readily available materials.

I thought it’d be amazing to do a workshop online with the CM community to fold some fish too. The installation will be in Palo Alto.

I’d like to host a folding session and if people wished, they can mail the fish to me to be part of the installation. many people have lost family or friends during this time whether due to covid or other reasons. a 1000 fish will be a shared voice of healing. i’d like to invite ppl to put names of the lost ones in their fish if they wanted to as well.

ABOUT YOUR HOST
I’m a multimedia artist born in Taiwan, raised in SoCal, and now based in San Francisco. I work with reclaimed natural and manmadematerials in my paintings and installations. I was on a Field Trip yesterday and in the chatroom, many people expressed interest in my Little Fish project, so I thought I’d take the initiative to propose this FT with CM.
