This half day workshop is eligible for 3 NCQLP/LEU credits.
On Thursday February 15th, join us for a half day seminar in Vancouver to hear from a few lighting control experts. We will work to build your understanding of and demystify control protocols including DMX, DALI, wireless lighting control, energy code review, colour tuning, and building integration.
Constant advancements in lighting control technologies are changing how we integrate the control of lighting systems into all aspects of the built environment and the world around us. This seminar will discuss lighting protocols DMX and DALI, as well as, tips for what to look for when specifying controls, sneak peak into ASHRAE 90.1.2016, explore design challenges and present real world successful applications of each.

Maggie Bailey
Maggie M Bailey has served as the Systems Trainer and Senior Field Engineer for Philips Strand Lighting for the last 7 years. Prior to joining Philips she was the lighting project manager for Qatar National Convention Center and multiple Cirque du Soleil installations in Las Vegas. She has a BA in Theatre from BYU and an MFA in Lighting Design for Theatre from University of Wisconsin-Madison. During her tenure at UW-M she worked in Project Management at ETC.
Michael Block
Michael is the National Design & Specification Manager with Crestron, a global leader in integrated building controls. He supports the lighting specification community with design assistance and education on Crestron Lighting Controls (CLC), daylighting, circadian rhythm lighting, code compliance, and systems integration for today’s intelligent building. He is a certified instructor with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) providing continuing education credits for AIA members.
Cy Eaton
Cy’s academic background in Theater, Psychology, and Lighting Sciences led to an eclectic career in lighting design, research, manufacturing, installation, repair, and fire spinning. Cy was a lighting designer for Walt Disney Imagineering, Shanghai Disneyland Resort before joining the Architectural Design + Specification team at Lumenetix in 2016.
